In November of 2013, Crest #8 was the first Crest to be built just outside the greater Oklahoma City area in Norman. Its upscale decor and fresh market approach coined its name Crest Fresh Market. Crest #7 was built in 2010 in south Oklahoma City. 2 years later, Crest #5 opened in Oklahoma City with Crest store #6 opening about a year after that in North Oklahoma City. Bruce continued to follow his father's teachings with more stores and larger variety. The next generation brought new growth and strategic development. In 1999, after decades as community leaders and successful business owners, Nick and Cherry retired and passed on their company and legacy to their son Bruce Harroz. Two more locations were added: in 1984 Crest #2 in Midwest City and in 1997 Crest #3 in Edmond. Over the next few decades, the company continued to grow and prosper. The new name brought a fresh image providing customers discount prices, clean stores and fast, friendly customer service. In order to save customers time, while writing checks, Nick shortened the name to Crest from the Ridgecrest shopping center. Nick and Cherry expanded their business during the 50s and early 60s and in 1964 they moved their operation to a new location in the Ridgecrest shopping center on Reno Ave in Midwest City. Not long after starting the business, he married his beloved wife Cherry who would remain his partner in every sense of the word for more than 60 years. Following the end of the WWII, he returned to Oklahoma where he opened his first grocery store, Nick's Brett Drive Grocery in Midwest City. Navy Air Corps where he was commissioned as an officer and trained fighter pilots. Nick's dad taught him to "Stack it High and Sell it Cheap!"Īfter graduating from Capitol Hill High School, Nick joined the U.S.

On April 20, 2018, it is announced that the Edmond store would be delayed by another two or three years. The 106,565-square-foot store is targeted to open in early 2018. The company opened in 1946 as Nick's Brett Drive Grocery in Midwest City and grew throughout the 1950s and the 1960s. It buys direct from 150 manufacturers and the largest supplier in the state. Crest Foods is a family owned and operated business chain of grocery stores in Oklahoma, with the corporate office in Edmond.
